Ltd. ("SHM Global", "SHM", "we", "us", or "our"). SHM Shipcare Pvt. Ltd. ("SHM Global", "SHM", "we", "us", or "our") is a maritime engineering, shipbuilding, ship repair, ship management, and fire/marine safety solutions provider headquartered at 1410-1425, The Epicentre, Off Eastern Freeway, BEST Colony, Near Shivaji Chowk, Chembur East, Mumbai - 400088, Maharashtra, India.

By accessing, browsing, registering on, placing an order through, or otherwise using the Website, you ("User", "you", "your") agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any additional terms referenced herein (e.g. shipping, returns, or service-specific terms). 1. About SHM Global

SHM Global operates through two principal divisions — Shipyard (shipbuilding, ship repair, ship management, and chartering) and Maritime Care (fire safety, life-saving appliances, survival craft, GMDSS/marine electronics, pyrotechnics, marine chemicals/paints, and related maintenance services) — serving the Shipping, Oil & Gas, Defence & Paramilitary, Water Sports & Recreation, Industry, Power Plants, and Retail sectors, with operations across 25+ locations including India, Singapore, Dubai, Malaysia, and Colombo.

The website is used to showcase SHM Global's products and services, enable online enquiries and orders for marine safety/fire safety equipment and related products, publish company news and blog content, and facilitate career applications and general business contact.

2. Eligibility

Product information: We make reasonable efforts to ensure that descriptions, specifications, images, and pricing of products (including life-saving appliances, lifeboats and rescue boats, boats and yachts, GMDSS equipment, fire safety and firefighting equipment, FRP cabinets, liferafts, marine chemicals and paints, pyrotechnics, and survival craft essentials) displayed on the Website are accurate. However, product specifications, availability, and pricing are subject to change without prior notice, and we do not warrant that all information is error-free, complete, or current.

Regulated/statutory equipment: Many products offered (e.g. lifejackets, immersion suits, lifeboats, liferafts, fire safety appliances, pyrotechnics) are subject to maritime safety regulations, classification society requirements, and statutory certification (e.g. SOLAS, IRS, and applicable flag-state or port-state requirements). It is the User's/buyer's responsibility to verify that any product purchased is suitable, compliant, and appropriately certified for its intended vessel, jurisdiction, and use. SHM Global will provide certification documentation where applicable, but final compliance verification rests with the purchaser.

Pricing and quotations: Prices displayed (where shown) are indicative and may exclude applicable taxes, duties, freight, insurance, and installation/commissioning charges unless expressly stated. For bespoke engineering, shipbuilding, repair, chartering, and service engagements, pricing is confirmed only through a formal quotation or contract executed between SHM Global and the customer.

Orders: Submission of an order or enquiry through the Website constitutes an offer to purchase, which SHM Global may accept or decline at its discretion, including where a product is out of stock, mispriced, or where the order appears fraudulent or non-compliant with applicable export-control or end-use regulations.

5. Payment

For quotation-based and service/engineering contracts, payment terms will be as agreed in the applicable purchase order, invoice, or contract.

6. Shipping, Delivery, and Risk

Shipping and delivery timelines communicated on the quotations are estimates only and are not guaranteed, given the nature of marine logistics, customs clearance, and port operations. Risk in goods passes to the buyer upon dispatch/handover to the carrier unless otherwise agreed in writing. SHM Global is not liable for delays caused by carriers, customs authorities, force majeure events, or circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

7. Cancellations, Returns, and Refunds

Given the specialised, often made-to-order and safety-certified nature of many products and services, cancellations, returns, and refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis and are generally subject to written agreement between the customer and SHM Global at the time of order or contract. Defective, mis-shipped, or non-conforming goods should be reported to sales@shmglobal.com within a reasonable time of delivery, along with supporting documentation (e.g. photographs, inspection reports).

8. Careers and Job Applications

Information submitted through the Careers section or to careers@shmglobal.com (including resumes/CVs and related personal data) will be used solely for recruitment and hiring evaluation purposes, in accordance with our Privacy Policy. SHM Global shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, piracy, port closures, labour disputes, epidemics, government action, or disruption to shipping/maritime operations.
